Top Chef Celebrity Launching NYC's Next Best Italian Restaurant

Blending the welcoming charm of a traditional Italian restaurant with the structured elegance of the most notable NYC destinations, Bar Cicchetti by Fabio Viviani will be a perfect addition to the resurgence of the hip central Chelsea neighborhood.

The name itself, meaning “to share,” encourages guests to connect with one another over a reinvented selection of Italian crowd favorites and refined cocktails.

3-0137.jpgOccupying the ground floor of the luxurious new Motto Chelsea hotel, Bar Cicchetti is a contemporary eatery by celebrity chef, best-selling cookbook author, and TV personality Fabio Viviani.

Best known for his participation in Bravo’s Top Chef seasons 5 and 8 where he earned the coveted “Fan Favorite” title, Fabio’s on-screen appearances and off-screen successes have propelled him to become one of the most influential culinary and hospitality names in the industry.

Set to open on January 18th, Bar Cicchetti will offer seasonally inspired dishes, including elevated takes on Viviani’s favorite comfort food classics, as well as craft beer and cocktails.

2-0011.jpegOpen for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks, the menu offers authentic, thoughtfully-prepared Italian crowd favorites alongside dishes inspired by Chef Fabio’s childhood in Italy, such as:

  • Fried Burrata: Pepperonata, Roasted Garlic, Crostino
  • Octopus: Celery Salad, N’duja Vinaigrette
  • Crispy Duck Salad: Soft Boiled Egg, Pomegranate, Duck Cracklins, Warm Duck Vinaigrette
  • N’duja Roman Pizza: Smoky Eggplant, House Pancetta, Smoked Mozzarella
  • Spaghetti Alla Chitarra: Clams, Lobster Butter, Parsley, And Garlic
  • Whole Fried Rockfish: Livornese Style, Grilled Lemon
  • Stufato Citta: Crispy Duck, Cannellini Beans, Shrimp, Mussels, Tomato, Duck Crumbs, Charred Fennel, Lobster Butter

To accompany the Italian fair, the beverage program includes an extensive yet refined list of traditional and creative cocktails – such as a Manhattan Italiano and BC Spritz – that is sure to please even the most discerning palates.
