One of the Hamptons’ hottest destinations, Topping Rose House is so much more than a luxury hotel. In recent years, the Bridgehampton spot has become more popular than ever for hosting upscale events, brand activations and other occasions, thanks to events director Samantha Voutsinas’ expert abilities, which has grown Topping Rose’s events business by four times since her start in 2018. We checked in with general manager Joseph Montag to chat about how their team creates some of the buzziest events out east.
The Max Mara pop-up boutique showcased the brand’s luxe selects in a dreamy space curated by the Topping Rose House team.
What were some of the most successful events of the season?
The most successful events are the ones hosted to celebrate something. Birthday parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and more. The ability to recreate the space is what makes it so unique.
How did this year’s events differ from the previous season?
We had long-term residencies that took many dates off the calendar. Any time you have Givency or Burberry build a showroom on property, there are suddenly a lot less days on the calendar to host individual events.

What are some of the most popular events hosted at Topping Rose?
The most popular are collaborations. We worked on a “Weekend on the Riviera Maya” along with Rosewood Mayakoba this year, and that was a nice celebration of good weather.
What makes Topping Rose a great place to host events?
It can be a blank canvas with the Hamptons backdrop. It can be a pool party one day and a wedding the next. Samantha Voutsinas has a team that can build an entire unique experience in just one day.
Anything else readers should know about events at Topping Rose?
The Poolside Studio space will have a pop-up brunch feel to it this year. Jean-Georges is building out a weekly menu that completely recreates an indoor/ outdoor dining experience with a DJ and more up-tempo look and feel. 1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton
