The new Safescreen from TM Skincare by Tracie Martyn is a clean mineral sunscreen with botanical ingredients including Organic Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil. Safescreen offers SPF 30 protection from both UVA/UVB rays and is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. Coral reef-safe as well as "human-safe," it’s moisturizing yet non-greasy, leaving your skin with a healthy glow.
Safescreen is free of synthetic filters like oxybenzone—a chemical that’s been shown to cause allergic skin reactions and potentially mimic hormones. Oxybenzone is also problematic because it can be harmful to coral reefs and other aquatic creatures, exacerbating coral bleaching.
Safescreen contains non-nano zinc oxide which is stable in sunlight and can provide greater protection from UVA rays than titanium oxide or any other sunscreen chemical approved for use in the U.S. It also contains organic sunflower seed oil and organic shea butter which is packed with nourishing fatty acids and vitamins. Organic jojoba oil moisturizes and promotes skin elasticity while helping regulate sebum production.
