Long ago farmland owned by Dutch settlers, Tribeca is now an iconic NYC neighborhood famous for celebrity residents and many appearances on the silver screen. The name Tribeca is actually a syllabic abbreviation for “Triangle Below Canal,” referring to the coveted cobblestone streets that make up the neighborhood.
Nowadays, we love Tribeca for its incredible restaurants, sceney nightlife and picturesque streets. We’ve put together our ultimate guide to Tribeca so you can enjoy the very best that this quintessential NYC neighborhood has to offer.

Chances are you’ve seen this hotspot all over TikTok and Instagram, as every Sunday morning NYC’s 20-somethings flock to Bubby’s for the perfect hangover cure: pancakes, burgers and espresso martinis. This approachable brunch, lunch and dinner spot takes reservations for dinner, but is walk-ins only for weekend brunch, so be sure to arrive early.

Is there anything better for the soul than rustic Italian food? Locanda Verde’s warm and cozy interiors play host to a heartfelt menu of urban Italian favorites such as orecchiette with duck sausage, broccoli rabe and pecorino. The cocktails are also excellent so be sure to try one (or three).

While relatively new to the scene, Frenchette has quickly become a Tribeca staple. The 2019 James Beard award winner for the best new restaurant, Frenchette is known for its, you guessed it, French-inspired menu of decadent favorites.
