Virgil Abloh shot to fame as the force behind Off-White, a fashion-forward streetwear and luxury label, and in his new role as artistic director of Louis Vuitton, he hopes to rebrand the fashion giant with his invigorating Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
An iridescent bag with Louis Vuitton insignia imprint is priced at $3,850.
In a modest concrete shop on the second floor of Chrome Hearts in lower Manhattan, fans of Virgil Abloh can buy, for the first time, items from his inaugural Spring/Summer 2019 Louis Vuitton collection.
Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram-appliqued bags remain the same only in style—it returns, in rare form, as a downsized trunk with neon orange chain straps.
Abloh's chain motif can be found throughout the collection, from bags to shoes.
The temporary pop-up shop will remain open for customers to experience a wide range of tailored to casual ready-to-wear clothing, as well as shoes, leather goods, and multi-colored accessories, through January 17 before hitting retailers the following day.
