Tying in elements of nature, serenity, and peacefulness, VU HAIR soars 21 stories high inside the penthouse of The Peninsula New York and incorporates imported wood from Indonesia to emulate the relaxation and warmth one would feel being in the comfort of their own home.
Vu’s talent has been carefully cultivated over the course of the last 18 years, centered in New York City on the legendary Fifth Avenue. His formal training began under the care of Mr. Frederic Fekkai, as his assistant, lasting nearly six years before he branched out on his own.
Vu’s values and creative views are based on the philosophy that a hair style can be the foundation for greatness in any individual. It is with his education and experience through the years as a stylist that allowed him to formulate and devise his own salon venture, high atop the same Fifth Avenue where he started.
Amy’s Mrkulic’s passion for hair and enhancing an individual’s natural beauty is what has led her to a successful 20 year career. Through her ability to understand the dimensions of color and creating her own signature technique, it has truly allowed her to customize each hair experience for her clients. Amy’s expertise ranges from beautiful highlights in the form of foils or balayage, adding richness to brunettes and applying vibrancy to reds.
Amy prides herself in her work ethic and feels communication is key. To determine the best color suited and most complimentary to her clients, she ties in elements of eye color, skin tone, and lifestyle. Amy truly believes that each and every client should have a customized color and experience, one that she strives to provide every single day with each person that sits in her chair.
