There’s no such thing as a bad time spent seeing a Broadway show, but having a great meal before sitting down to enjoy certainly does improve the experience. Likewise, there’s nothing quite like heading off to a delicious dinner to gush over an incredible Broadway performance right after the curtain falls.

Atlantic Grill is an Upper West Side mainstay perfect for those heading to the ballet or is an easy train ride up from the Theater District. The recently reopened Atlantic Grill offers the seafood dishes the neighborhood has loved for years, now with a Mediterranean twist. Diners can enjoy a selection of raw bar items like Crudo and Atlantic fish ceviche, a seafood tower, eclectic sushi rolls, an array of fish cooked to guests’ preferences and house specialties.

This adorable wine bar packs quite a punch when it comes to both the food and the drinks. With pastas such as tagliatelle bolognese and slow-baked mac & cheese with a black truffle carpaccio all priced at $18, Briciola is one of the best deals you’ll find in the city. We also love their wine list (of course) and the desserts, such as the ricotta cheesecake served with fresh strawberries.

If you are with a group and hungry for family-style Italian, then it’s an easy decision – iconic restaurant Carmine’s is only a short walk away. Fried calamari, spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, and penne alla vodka are just some of Carmine’s signature dishes. Each dish is served family-style, feeding four to six people.

Casa Limone is a casual, elegant Italian restaurant inspired by the flavors, sights and scents of Southern Italy. For a view almost as beautiful as the show you just watched, La Grande Boucherie is an excellent choice. This NYC mainstay serves delicious French cuisine in gorgeous interiors, including a heated atrium drenched in natural light. We love the entire menu, with selections from the charcuterie bar making an excellent addition to any meal.

One of the hottest reservations in all of NYC, this three-Michelin-starred restaurant is a true New York institution. For occasion dining, there is no better choice, as Le Bernadin’s seafood-forward dishes always shine. The courses are organized by cooking method with the first course being almost raw or barely touched, followed by a second course of lightly cooked selections.

Step out of NYC and into a Grecian paradise at Marea, where flavorful, bright seafood perfectly complements fresh grilled meats. We also love the raw bar, complete with oysters served with cucumber migonette, red wine migonette and lemon, and caviar offerings. A quick subway ride or walk away from the Theater District is Yoon Haeundae Galbi, a beloved Korean BBQ restaurant and home to the city’s best short rib. The restaurant presents a contemporary take on traditional recipes, inspired by owner Bobby Yoon’s grandfather’s restaurant Haeundae Somunnan Amso Galbijib, which opened in 1964 in Busan, South Korea.
