The perfect spot for a weekend escape, Wildflower Farms offers a Hudson Valley haven for nature lovers.
A welcoming fire pit greets guests on the great porch.
The allure of the Hudson Valley shifts with the seasons. Apple picking in the fall. Snowy, winter wonderlands and moments by a crackling fire in the winter. Spring’s ephemeral blooms and summer’s rush of adventures.
The free-standing cabins frame views of the spectacular Shawangunk Ridge and surrounding meadows.
It was only natural that the area’s newest farm-to-fork resort would also follow the lead of the land and exalt the region’s ever-evolving beauty.
Cozy moments await throughout the property.
Located just 90 minutes from Manhattan in Gardiner, N.Y., Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection feels worlds away nestled on a pristine 140-acre property in the foothills of the Shawangunk Ridge. The retreat headlines with source-origin cuisine and interactive experiences to reconnect with nature.
Thistle, the on-site spa, offers an indoor pool, outdoor hot tubs, a dry sauna and herbal steam room; guests can feed the chickens and bring fresh eggs to breakfast for the chef to prepare.
Think early morning sessions feeding the chickens or wood chopping before dinner. The 9,000-square-foot spa, Thistle, takes cues from the cycles of nature for seasonal treatment menus. This back-to-the-land approach reverberates throughout the shared spaces and the 65 free-standing, built-in-nature accommodations (conceived by West Coast architects Electric Bowery and New York-based design studio Ward and Gray). Despite being in its infancy, the spaces already have a perfect patina with wood-clad ceilings and reworked canvas on the walls. Cozy moments are crafted here and there with spots to sit and enjoy the framed views of native meadows and woodlands.

The central hub features an open-air, communal great porch and restaurant, Clay—an homage to the Hudson Valley’s celebrated culinary bounty. Heritage fruits, unique varietals and aromatic herbs sourced from local farms are reimagined and exalted as high art. The Maplehouse offers a farm education center featuring weekly hands-on classes and a chef-hosted cooking school.
Rooms are appointed in natural materials to complement the local landscape.
The reverence for nature is everywhere at Wildflower Farms. From little reminders to meditate and reground the spirit sprinkled throughout the rooms and at turndown to the winding footpaths that le ad to a place to just pla y in the woods, Wildflower Farms offers a plac e to rewild and recharge.
